Liked this brief article. I too don't like long sleeve shirts. Since covid time, I retired from my job. While in job, most of the times I didn't get time to practice naturism. After retirement only, I really started to practice & enjoy naturism. After retirement my focus is to remain naked maximum possible, though it is within home only as the local laws & the society here are totally against naturism.

Down the YouTube rabbit hole.

Try being a writer ... researching stuff like building a Viking Long Ship, (like I did for After the Event) ... You discover also sorts of interesting things about the use of an adze that you will never need again and the reader doesn't need to know, nor do you but ... You do now and the readers ... No! Besides it will be time to get up in an hour or so ....

Something additional for you to consider Steve. - the possibility of being struck down by an unknown illness ; then you would qualify for a Sickness Benefit . . . . . .

In this article, you again mention ' exercise '. I'm unsure if you are aware that I also commented on a recent post where you discussed the difficulties' you face with respect to exercise.

I did also privately message you too on the subject.

Best Wishes for actually getting to live in a proper summer this year - and for the Festive Season and beyond.

Peter, I did see your comments thank you, and I have made small steps towards a healthier lifestyle, but I am easily distracted from it.

Being unemployed at the end of my 40s I spent my 50th birthday taking professional exams to qualify for a trade (electrician) which I then took through to retirement in self-employment. This evaded the difficulty of convincing an employer that age and experience are worthwhile workplace investments. It also transpired that customers felt the opposite - he’s not some youngster who can’t be relied on, he’s got grey hair, must know what he’s doing!

Unfortunately, working mostly in people’s homes I rarely had the opportunity to work naked (though it did arise a few times) but needs must, eh?

Your comments have reminded me of a story - involving a female naturist friend of mine.

She was having her house re-painted by a self employed man, who had been recommended to her.

One morning, she said that she had to go into town for shopping and would be home around 4-00 pm.

She finished up her shopping early - and arrived at her home at 2-00 pm.

Upon walking into her lounge, she was greeted by a naked man standing atop of the ladder - working as planned.

Neither was aware of the other person being a naturist - until that moment ; and a wonderful friendship has evolved over a number of years.

I’m very much the same as you in that I’m at that age (60) where if I was made redundant I very much doubt I could get a job paying the same amount I get now. I’ve always thought if I did lose my job I would go and work for Mitre10 part time. Since 2019 I too have working from home and now that we have moved from Auckland to Napier I work from home permanently and only travel to Auckland if required, approximately once a month. So like you I can work naked when the weather is warm enough or when I don’t have Teams meetings online. I actually feel like I’m semi retired sometimes much to the horror of my wife who is 9 yrs younger than me.

I hear you, Steve. And, like you, I have lived so much of my life without clothing that I find it annoying when I need to drape my body with it. Working in a farming situation means I don't have to wear clothes at all unless going to the shops or some other place that requires them. Much of the time I don't even need clothes to drive - not even when filling the tank at our local self-serve gas station. And with the heat of summer coming on, my body is so thankful for the ability to breathe!
