Being unemployed at the end of my 40s I spent my 50th birthday taking professional exams to qualify for a trade (electrician) which I then took through to retirement in self-employment. This evaded the difficulty of convincing an employer that age and experience are worthwhile workplace investments. It also transpired that customers felt the opposite - he’s not some youngster who can’t be relied on, he’s got grey hair, must know what he’s doing!

Unfortunately, working mostly in people’s homes I rarely had the opportunity to work naked (though it did arise a few times) but needs must, eh?

Your comments have reminded me of a story - involving a female naturist friend of mine.

She was having her house re-painted by a self employed man, who had been recommended to her.

One morning, she said that she had to go into town for shopping and would be home around 4-00 pm.

She finished up her shopping early - and arrived at her home at 2-00 pm.

Upon walking into her lounge, she was greeted by a naked man standing atop of the ladder - working as planned.

Neither was aware of the other person being a naturist - until that moment ; and a wonderful friendship has evolved over a number of years.
