Great post. I never really thought about the vulnerability of it. I don't care what others think as I have to do what I believe is right for me. I have found naturism to be a relief from issues of my neurological-muscular disability. To be nude is so comfortable and free feeling that its beyond incredible. I have been to a nude beach but love going to a clothing-optional resort where I can enjoy nature too. A buddy of mine likes to make fun of me going nude. I think it's too bad that he's so uptight and can't relax as being nude at home is freeing too.

I appreciate You insights, Coach. They are important yet neither new or unique. ALL “Ocean Side” ( not bay side ) San Francisco, California🇺🇸USA Beaches, & many North & South of the City, are also officially — aside from Legally ( Constitutionally & historically consistently backed by 🇺🇸#USgovt Court case law ) Clothing Optional ( mixed use without social tensions or even vapid segregationist signage ). SF also currently has historical annual seasonal #SFNudistHighHolyDays & #NudistWelcomingMerchants unrivaled any place else in Western Civilization ( any #NudistWelcomingMerchants in 🇳🇿 New Zealand or old 🇳🇱Zeeland ?? ).

A very good read and we totally agree with all of your reasoning as it also works and applies to us. While we are members at a nude resort in central Ok. USA. We also are nude at home 90 % of the time. Plus we often find non-nude places to hike and swim nude which makes us vulnerable to the eyes and judgement of others but so worth for us mentally and physically.

Genuinely it was a pleasant reading. As a naturist I know all these reasons as to why we prefer naturism. However you have put it in very simple & short words..

Only few are luckiest to practice naturism out in nature, with friends & be happiest.. Majority of the naturists have to practice naturism within home because of the laws, society. Though home naturism is a restricted naturism, still it has all the reasons to practice which you have well mentioned in the article..

My response would be basically this: "I'm naked because right now I prefer to be." You don't need to list all your reasons, maybe only one or two that the questioner might appreciate, and add more if they seem interested. Don't get defensive. If the questioner asks "but what about..." Just put the onus on them to list the supposed drawbacks. Then reply to any drawbacks they can think of (until they get tired of asking).

While I agree with essentially all of what you say, I believe that, for at least some of us, there is more to it. For quite a while I have felt that in my case, besides the physical comfort of being clothes-free, there is a psychological aspect that significantly changes my mental state. I’m not quite the same person when I’m nude as when I clothed. For example, I’ve noticed that I’m less introverted. I have a heightened sense of well-being. I enjoy life so much more. And being nude out doors is very sensual. The warmth of the sunshine, the cool breeze, it’s like being caressed my Mother Nature. It’s a delightful way to be.

We enjoyed Playalinda when we were in Florida. Though we are members of Olive Dell Ranch Nudist Resort in California, we mostly just like being naked at home, in the yard or at a friend’s pool. No issues at all. Nudity is just so natural. I guess, at our age, we don’t feel any need to convert others to embrace nudism/naturism. We do end up educating friends from time to time. Happily they usually join in.
