This reminds me of the early secret sign for Christians. You'd draw a curve in the dirt with a stick. The other person would draw another curve to make a symbolic fish.

As you have mentioned the symbol is very much meaningful & it helps to drive people into naturism. I feel that this symbol has to be retained & no change is required. Further INF should accept & approve it formally.

I very much disliked the new symbol at first as I thought it was too subtle. I would have preferred a symbol with stick or clip art people and perhaps some mention of naturism/nudism. A beachy look would have been nice. In the interim though I have come to a grudging acceptance of the symbol. However I will never fully embrace the symbol until it is ratified by the International Naturist Federation. I will use the symbol in my posts though in lieu of something new.

It's a take it or leave it for us. That said we have the stickers on both vehicles and several of our Yeti cups / mugs. Until something different comes along it works.

As a logo that represents the Naturist Movement (if there is such a thing officially) then it serves its purpose in allowing members of that movement to recognise each other. That's where the purpose ends, I believe. It certainly has no purpose in reaching the masses of society in general to promote the acceptability of appropriate public nakedness. There is nothing about it that they will associate with nudity. In fact, it looks very similar to the Whakatane District Council logo! https://www.gets.govt.nz/ext/client/WHDC/img/logo.png. And not everyone who enjoys skinny dipping or other naked pastimes identifies as a Naturist anyway. But as an in-house logo for naturists, I guess it looks fine.

I like the symbol, at least its not literal as I suspect many would want. I must get a flag for the boat, there's a long maritime history of using flags to signal specific conditions.

If you want a logo, it is as good as any. Nobody is forcing anyone to use it. Impossible to get agreement on this sort of thing.

I didn't vote in the poll that selected it. But it is a symbol, obscure enough to be innocuous and identifiable enough to be obvious to those that recognize it. Thus it serves the purpose well. I suspect those that detract are of an older school who want a formal process.

I suspect nobody voted on the prancing horse of Ferrari, the diamonds of Mitsubishi or

It’s a small world. I believe that commenter Mr. Bill Harris bought his naturist pin from me. I have more. Email naturistpin@gmail.com

I like it. I have a lapel pin of it. No one is forcing anyone to use it.

I would think, if people are wanting to promote Naturism, or nudism, they'd make a symbol that unmistakably represents the movement. There should be an obvious representation of a nude people, or at least the words "Naturism" or "nude is natural".
