In my post last week I asked the media not to report about nudity and naturist events as if they are 12-year-old boys sniggering behind the bike sheds. I was recently made aware of a media article, which highlights another threatening reporting style on matters of nudity.
We read that article as well. We also had the same conclusion. Extremely prejudiced point of view and never made an attempt to answer the question of the title at all. We do think though from experience as part of our thoughts that around 50 men do develop a sense of it doesn't really matter anymore. They finally realize they are not and never will be the sex god they once thought they were. So, to them it matters not if they let it all hang out. Besides, who does it harm anyway? Answer: No One!!
That was the conclusion I expected the article to come to, or at least offer a credible alternative, but to use the headline to draw readers in and then go on a personal rant was disingenuous at best.
I know naturists are a minority and can be accused of communicating in a bubble, which reinforces our perception of mainstream acceptance, and I appreciate that most of the public is indifferent to our message rather than hostile, but reporting like that mentioned in my article is not only Victorian, it is dangerous.

It makes my blood boil. We are back in the Victorian age when god forbid, a person should show more flesh than necessary.
