Yes, some good thoughts there, Steve. The world is indeed changing in may ways and it's something that I too have been considering in relation to clothes-free acceptance.

The pollution caused by "fast fashion" is certainly one that we've written about at some length. Tied in with that is the effect of global warming, which is seeing a gradual increase in average temperatures generally, making less clothing the way to comfort and avoiding heat stress.

Mental health is another biggie that is increasing in this troubled world. Practices such as Shinrin Yoku, created by the Japanese Forest Agency in 1982 to counteract high-octane city lifestyles and encourage conservation of natural landscapes, has been demonstrated to lower cortisol (stress hormone) levels, increases natural killer (NK) cells to boost the immune system, and promotes better concentration and mood. When done naked the effect is even more pronounced.

And, of course, diversity and inclusivity are buzz words at the moment, and the right to self expression is being hammered home in many quarters. We've now recently had two cases of people being arrested from public complaints of nudity that have been thrown out by the courts on the grounds of "freedom of expression".

At Hauraki Naturally, we're keeping a close watch on many of these kinds of issues to see where we can grab opportunities to "advance the cause."

Cheers!

It's a very valid point. Naturism is one of the answers to the global crisis we're living in.
